Kahoot Quiz

This is an image from a website called Kahoot that specialises in making and playing quiz games. This image is of off my quiz I made for others to use.

This quiz was based around Video Games thoughout the decade. The reaserch of this was both a mix of looking at sites like google and wikipedia and my own personal experiance of playing games the past ten years and what my thoughts were on them, making questions that were based on personal experiance.

The image on the top of the screen is the set up of where the questions I have made are set up, they can be edited or deleted.

I got the images for the questions on goggle and used them for each question I asked. The images I choose didn't reveal too much information and were rather expressive and gave you the idea of what it was asking.

How I got the information for the questions were was a result of two things. The first being reaserching the information by using websties like goggle to look up the proper information to see if I got get it right. The second being my own personal experiance from playing these games, learning from the games from playing them or tuning in any game releated news.

I came up this this idea for a quiz when simply thinking up my previous experiance with video games.

HUD

This image is taken from a game called Hawken. And this particular image shows off one of the main features of the game and that is the HUD, or Heads Up Display.

The HUD shows important information on the players screen so that they're aware and can keep track of important things. Such as the number of ammunition you have, a map to show you were you are, a targeting display to show where you're aiming, the time limit, the amount of XP you have and the current rank you have.

The mechanics in a game are the rules and proceedures to make sure that the game you play is running smoothly. Simply put, they are instrustions for the game to follow when the player does something.

ARG
ARG stands for Alternative Reality Game. This is an interactive networked narrative that uses the real world as a platform and employs transmedia storytelling to deliver a story that may be altered by players' ideas or actions.

A good example of an ARG would be for the 2009 film, The Dark Knight, where they held a scavenger hunt in both the virtual and digital world.

Tyopgraphy

I have chosen this font for my horror game because by looking at the font, it shows it has a unnatural feeling to it scratch marks from the title, it would be reconisable as damage from an unknown attacker, showing off a feel of terror to it.

Primary Reserch

Primary Reaserch
Primary Reaserch is any type of research that you collect yourself. Examples like surveys, interviews and observations are all key examples of Primary Reaserch.

Secondary Research
Secondary research is research using information that has already been compiled and formatted.

What's the difference?
There is a big difference between these two forms of reaserch. One is where you, yourself have to find and reaserch the data yourself, collecting facts while secondary is facts and evidence that has already been collected.
